Position: Shipping and Logistics Specialist
Reports To: Shipping Manager
Job Overview:
This position is part-time (casual) which includes in-person warehouse work with flexible work hours. Miller & Miller is a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent position for individuals who want to advance within a growing company. This position is also excellent for individuals looking to earn extra income in a fun and exciting work environment. Applicants should have an interest in historic objects and have strong customer service and technical skills. Applicants must be available to work on site at our auction gallery the week following each of the scheduled auction sales per calendar year at our sale site, which take place on Saturdays. The time commitment could involve working 1 week Sunday - Friday following the auctions. Compensation is based on applicant experience and skill set.
Key Responsibilities Include:
● Respond promptly and professionally to shipping-related inquiries via phone and email.
● Coordinate and manage customer pickups using our Google Calendar and Paperform system following auction events, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
● Oversee and facilitate shipments to Canadian purchasers after auctions, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and timely delivery.
● Interface with customers and other shipping team members in-person and via phone following an auction, upholding M&M’s high standard for customer service.
Qualifications:
● Proven experience working in an e-commerce environment.
● Proficiency with shipping platforms, such as Shippo, Shopify, UPS, FedEx, and Purolator.
● Knowledge and experience in handling international shipping logistics, including base-level knowledge of importing and exporting rules including HS codes.
● Experience working with G-suite applications including Sheets, Gmail, Google Chat, and Google Meet.
