Why trust Miller & Miller to handle your lifetime investment?

Centered Vertical Line

‘Simulcast’ auctions for a virtual age.

Our ‘Simulcast’ auctions extend the physical auction experience to a virtual audience of eager bidders across the world. Our online sales platform allows us to webcast the live auction to a worldwide audience. Lots are sold in order, one-by-one, by a live auctioneer in real time using video and audio streaming. Our auctioneers drive excitement by encouraging participation before the hammer goes down.

A family heritage of excellence.

You can trust the family whose roots have been deep within antiques industry since 1977. With our decades of experience, we remain Canada’s Trusted Seller of High Value Collections.

We know your product.

We have developed relationships with specialists from all categories to provide guaranteed, professional information about your specific product category.

Curated auctions for an astute audience.

We have developed a following of quality customers by curating quality auctions. Our focus is on quality, not quantity - everything is vetted with clear guidelines.

Our connections sell your collections.

We have developed relationships with powerhouse buyers over generations. Our exclusive database is a ‘who’s who’ in the world of collecting.

Guaranteed catalogue descriptions.

Guaranteed catalogue descriptions increase the amount buyers are willing to spend by instilling buyer confidence. In contrast, consider the fear and apprehension caused by vague “buyer beware” descriptions, condition reports, and photographs. If important details cannot be accounted for, collectors will assume the worst and bid accordingly. Instilling buyer confidence through accurate and guaranteed catalogue descriptions is important to us, and our results prove it.

Competitive all-inclusive commission structure.

We all know what it feels like to be "nickel and dimed”. Our competitive commission fees range from 15% to 25% depending on the category and value of the consignment. Unlike many premier auction houses, there are no “hidden” seller’s fees for research, professional photography, cataloguing, insurance, storage, packing services, marketing or advertising.

We are a full-service auction company.

Despite the trend of outsourcing, we prefer to directly control the entire process. We look after everything while you sit back and await your cheque.

In-house packing and shipping.

One of the greatest apprehensions of online buyers is ‘will my purchase arrive safely?’. Our qualified shipping team takes this responsibility personally. Your consignments are within the reach of a global marketplace with our full-service, in-house shipping department. We ship “at-cost” to allow buyers to budget more for your consignment. Items are disassembled and packed in custom double-walled corrugated boxes using poly wrap, soft foam edging, bubble wrap and other cutting-edge materials. Our professional packing increases the confidence of international bidders.

Professional advice free of charge.

We are always available to provide guidance on selling collections whether its yours or one you know of. We provide you with professional advice on reserves, market value, sale timing, and market conditions.

We get the story right.

Provenance matters to collectors, so providing background information through storytelling can add serious value to a collection. The Miller Times is a quarterly online magazine featuring auction highlights and collector profiles. With a growing subscribership of over 10,000 passionate collectors, the stories connect collectors around the globe.

The numbers say it all.

We invite qualified collectors from our exclusive database to compete for your items. We have 23 countries with regular buyers. 94% average sell-through rate. 18,000 buyer-targeted mail-outs per auction. 10,000 subscribers to Miller Times quarterly. 900 regularly placed bids at each auction. 52% of lots are shipped outside of Ontario. With over 10,000 active users in our global mailing list, we expose your collection to all interested collectors.
